Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their expertise in welding to ensure the successful execution of client projects, adhering to high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting blueprints and project plans to meet client specifications.
- Setting up and operating welding equipment, maintaining it to ensure it's in good working order.
- Measuring and aligning workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers.
- Joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques.
- Monitoring the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating or warping of parts.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of universal welding symbols and reading blueprints and/or drawings.
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Professional Certification (e.g. AWS welding certificate).
- Proven experience as a Welder.
- Proficiency in using electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
